Our client

Rochon, primarily composed of Master Kitchen Design, Cuisines Rochon, and DORR Industries, is dedicated to designing and creating high-end custom furniture. As a Canadian company with a U.S. based subsidiary corporation, Rochon is recognized for the quality of their products and their personalized, customer-focused approach.

In growth mode as well as for succession planning, Rochon has created the position of a General Manager/Sales - USA for their Long Island, New York-based facility. Reporting to the President, this person will have full P&L responsibility for overseeing sales, operations, and business development for the United States. The individual will lead a team of experienced designers.

About the role

  • Manage the Long Island branch: Store operations, deliveries, and supply chain.
  • Market assessment: responsible to analyze and understand competitors in the Kitchen cabinet industry and flush wall door (Integra).
  • Inspire and coach the designer team in achieving business development objectives.
  • You and your team will be the ambassadors of a known and recognized brand of quality, whose innovation is constant: your primary objective will be to achieve the highest level of commercial service.
  • Responsible for negotiating and setting contract agreements.
  • Develop and maintain lasting business relationships and strategic partnerships.
  • Build a sales/business development plan for the USA markets and participate in developing marketing plans in collaboration with the Canadian Head Office.
  • Responsible to prepare and monitor budgets and sales forecasts.
  • Identify market trends likely to influence product development and positioning.
  • Work in multifunctional teams to help enrich the customer experience.
  • In all the challenges you undertake, you act with passion and you easily bring people together around you to move towards common goals.

Work experience, skills, and prerequisites

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in sales team management.
  • Expertise in B2C and B2B sales.
  • Recognized as an inspiring leader, skilled at coaching and mobilizing your peers.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Customer-oriented.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Great negotiator.
  • Proficient in oral and written English (French is an asset).
