Our client
Our client is a world leader in furniture hardware.
Regarding the Role
Reporting to the President and a member of the Management Committee, leading a team of product and marketing specialists, the marketing manager will be responsible to deliver effective marketing tools and programs to best support the sales team and our customers in a B2B distribution channel. In addition, the manager is responsible to manage our product categories, our social media investments as well as our brand strategy according to corporate guidelines.
Formal Education
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred.
Work Experience (years)
- 10+ years experience in digital marketing, including performance marketing, SEO/SEM, and social media strategies with solid experience in omni channels platforms and tools in a B2B environment
- 10 to 15 years of experience in building product industry as a marketing manager, brand manager, category manager, or product manager
- Minimum 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing employees and budget
- Familiar with ERP systems and CRM, preferably Sales Forces
- High proficiency in Microsoft Suite and PC applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Available to travel 10%-15% in Canada.
Specific Responsibilities
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. The ability to influence and work collaboratively with the other departments is especially important, we are looking for a hands-on profile, and a good balance between operational and strategic skills.
- Demonstrated success in managing and launching differentiated products categories that meet and exceed business objectives
- Has developed solid expertise in marketing and specifically digital marketing working for a manufacturer in the building product industry
- Solid experience in social media, technology, platforms, and tools
- Solid experience in CRM preferably Salesforces.com
- Comfortable to manage many projects at the same time (multi-task)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, possibly including some copywriting skills
- Strong analytical capabilities, takes the time needed to analyze and evaluate before making decisions
- Comfortable in an environment of perpetual change.
