Our Client

Our client is one of the largest distributors of confectionery and chocolate products in Canada. After more than six decades as a leader in the confectionery market, the company has evolved to become the exclusive distributor of some of the most prestigious brands in the industry.

As an importer and manufacturer, our client offers a wide range of regular, seasonal, licensed, and private-label products, sold through all major distribution channels across Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales

  • Brand Development

1) Marketing Strategy and Management

Key competencies: marketing vision, strategic planning, product innovation

Responsibilities:

  • Define and lead the marketing strategy for product lines.
  • Plan annual and seasonal campaigns (new products, promotions, packaging, merchandising).
  • Propose and manage the launch of new products and limited editions.
  • Analyze market trends and competitors to adjust marketing initiatives.

2) Sales Management and Commercial Performance

Key competencies: commercial analysis, results orientation, KPI tracking

Responsibilities:

  • Define sales objectives for product lines.
  • Monitor sales and margins, analyze variances, and propose corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and distribution channels to maximize sales.
  • Participate in sales reviews and supply planning.

3) Project Management and Cross-Functional Coordination

Key competencies: project management, organization, coordination

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and track marketing campaigns and seasonal product launches.
  • Coordinate with production, logistics, sales, and other departments to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Manage the product line’s marketing budget and monitor expenses and ROI.

4) Leadership and Supervision

Key competencies: coaching, management, communication

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the team (marketing/brand assistant).
  • Plan, prioritize, and monitor the collaborator’s workload.
  • Provide coaching, regular feedback, and support professional development.

5) Reporting and Analysis

Key competencies: data analysis, decision-making, reporting

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor key KPIs: sales, margins, market share, success of new products, replenishment.
  • Produce regular reports for the VP of Marketing, including recommendations.
  • Adjust the marketing strategy based on results and observed trends.
