Functions and responsibilities of the role
- Build and maintain long-term relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
- Understand clients’ needs and ensure customer satisfaction
- Drive sales growth through strategic planning and execution
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
- Track key metrics to make informed decisions
- Prepare regular reports on account status, sales performance, and forecasts
- Negotiate contracts and agreements
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a unified approach to account management
- Provide training and support for clients on new products or services.
Required skills
- 5+ years of experience as a national account manager specializing in consumer-packaged goods
- Successful track record by collaborating with leading Canadian retailers
- Master of category management principles
- Customer-oriented mindset
- Active listening
- Strategic thinking
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Leadership and teamwork
- USA experience - asset
- Bilingual - French & English.
