The Client

Our client is the leading specialized retailer of photographic and video products and services in Quebec. In business since 1936, the company offers turnkey solutions for hobbyists, advanced amateurs, and professionals alike. It continues to stand out and grow, and is now recognized as one of the leaders among specialized photography retailers in Canada. The company currently operates five retail locations (Quebec City, Trois-Rivières, Laval, Brossard, and Montreal), as well as an e-commerce website offering over 10,000 products for imaging enthusiasts.

The Role

IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Overseeing all store operations, including sales, merchandising, staffing, inventory, and overall store profitability.
  • Managing all store sales, including both products and services such as printing, training courses, and equipment rentals.
  • Reporting directly to the President and working alongside a passionate team of approximately twenty employees.

  • Implement best operational practices;
  • Bring energy and dynamism to store management;
  • Demonstrate strong leadership with in-store staff;
  • Ensure a very high level of customer satisfaction;
  • Grow sales through local marketing initiatives and in-store events in collaboration with the marketing department;
  • Be actively involved in the local community;
  • Hire, train, mentor, supervise, motivate, and coach store staff.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in retail store management;
  • Strong interest in technology products;
  • Results-oriented mindset;
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills;
  • University degree: an asset.
